How Much of a Weapon Was X?

It almost feels weird that the Eagles drafted the person that we thought they would. Fletcher Cox was the popular choice for the Eagles in the first round, and that is who they ended up with.
In order to move up to get Cox, they had to sacrifice a 4th and 6th round pick. The good news is that shouldn’t change their day two plans too much.
If I was in the Eagles war room, my first prority would be adding another linebacker to mix, potentially a guy that could start when added to the roster. To me, this player is cut and dry. His name is Lavonte David out of Nebraska.
I think he is a great player and would be a tremendous compliment to DeMeco Ryans. If the Eagles take a linebacker who can challenge for a starting spot with this pick, they will open up a variety of differnt picks for themselves.
At this point, they could do a number of different things. They could look to add a player in the secondary/defensive line or look into a skill position like quarterback, running back, or wide receiver.
In the third round, they should have a lot of flexibility. At this point, they should be able to take a risk on an offensive playmaker or be able to build their defense.
I’ve told many people for a long time, Friday will be a much more important day for the Eagles than Thursday. They have a lot of young guys who should be ready to sign on Thursday.
